EWP Gift Guide: For the Crafter

I feel like with the advent of Pinterest, everyone has gotten craftier and craftier. Maybe by inspiration, maybe by internet shaming (*raises hand*).  Either way, I knew crafty items would be a big hit for someone on everyone's Christmas list this year and enlisted the craftiest person I know Stefanie of Baby Blakely and ChloeTate (and the maker of my fabulous cards I blogged about) to make a list for the crafters you know.

1) A Silhouette Electronic Cutter, $199.99-$299.99

One of the most coveted crafting tools, the Silhouette electronic cutter is one of my most-loved, most used possessions. The Silhouette Cameo has a 12x12 or 12x24" cutting mat, while the new Silhouette Portrait has an 8.5x11 cutting mat. The Silhouette can cut paper, vinyl, fabric & felt and has sketch pens, rhinestones, & rhinestones. The possibilities are endless! Best part? Each design can be purchased from the Silhouette website for $.99 (or less)-- no pesky cartridges to purchase!

2) Xyron Creative Station, $119.99

An incredibly versatile little machine, the Xyron 9" Creative Station is not just for scrapbookers! With a 9" wide base, The Creative Station is a Sticker Maker, Laminator, Label and Magnet Maker all in one. Perfect for preserving kids' projects, they can even laminate it themselves-- the machine requires no electricity and no heat! Cartridges are sold separately and easily slide in and out as needed.

3) Good scissors
Singer, $8.02

Every crafter needs a good pair of scissors-- really, you should keep separate pairs for paper vs. fabric. I absolutely love these Singer Comfort Grip Scissors-- not only do I love the rubberized grip, but they are also the only scissors I own that comfortably fit all 4 of my fingers into the hole. No more smooshed fingers from using regular office scissors which is important when you'll be cutting for a long time.

4) Tape Glider

Scotch, $21.69

Scrapbooking, card making and any kind of party planning craft will require a good adhesive-- The Scotch ATG (Advanced Tape Glider) is the best of the best. It smoothly lays down a 1/4" line of adhesive. No mess, no fuss!

5) Mason Jar Stamp
Inkadinkado, $18.79

Mason jars are so popular this year & this wood block stamp by Inkadinkado could be used for so many things-- placecards, labels, gift tags, etc.  It's 2.75"x4" size is just large enough write (or stamp!) what you'd like on the inside!

6) Baker's Twine

Bakers twine can be used for all different kinds of crafts-- I use it most for gift wrapping! It can get expensive, collecting every color to match every occasion-- but The Twinery's Sampler Pack offers 15 yards of their 11 most popular colors for only $20!

  1. Ohhh, I wish I had the time to use these kinds of things! As it is, I have boxes of pictures/scrapbook stuff that I haven't touched in YEARS. Sad.
